Remote Surveillance Trailer in El Dorado Hills, CA

Businesses like yours that exist in today's commercial landscape have to navigate a litany of complex security challenges that go beyond their property and premises. We're talking about criminals intent on trespassing, theft, squatting, vandalism, and more. Unfortunately, conventional security efforts are often underwhelming and ineffective in managing modern risks. That's because traditional systems are reactive, not proactive, by nature. That means they're designed to respond to criminal acts after they've happened. Typical responses from these systems include sounding alarms and notifying the authorities - but only after trespassers are on-site. This type of response leads to unnecessary false alarms and frustratingly slow police response times, giving criminals the opportunity to escape with sensitive assets, data, and more.

Mr. Security Camera was founded to address these shortcomings by offering business owners like you proactive, comprehensive security solutions you can count on. With innovative tools like a remote surveillance trailer in El Dorado Hills, CA, you can get ahead of security breaches, deter potential criminals from committing crimes, and solidify the overall safety of your property without having to rely on outdated security models. By focusing on prevention and lightning-fast response times, we help make peace of mind plentiful for today's most successful property owners and managers.

The Posh Bagel is expanding in the market and plans to fill spaces in two El Dorado Hills centers.

The chain, which opened its first location in Los Altos in 1992 and has since grown to 25 sites throughout California, specializes in all things bagels — from breakfast sandwiches and specialty sandwiches to more traditional offerings like bagels with lox spread or garlic herb cream cheese. Its locations also serve pastries, smoothies, coffee and bubble teas.

The Posh Bagel is in the process of joining Rancho Cordova's Sunridge Plaza, a store which founder Jeffrey Ottoveggio said is close to opening. Within the last week, the chain has also locked in leases for locations at the El Dorado Hills Town Center and Sienna Ridge, both in El Dorado Hills.

The first site likely to open will be at 4380 Town Center Blvd., Suite 130. The bagel shop will fill an approximately 1,450-square-foot end space in a strip building that also includes CycleLife and Lindora, near Target. Ottoveggio said opening will depend on how quickly the location can obtain permits and begin work. He anticipated the process would take a minimum of six months as the space will require a kitchen build-out.

At Sienna Ridge, The Posh Bagel is planning to fill a 1,500-square-foot end space on a retail pad going in near the Safeway gas station. Kelly Rule, senior vice president of leasing for Pappas Investments, which owns Sienna Ridge, said the developer is in lease talks for the other end space in the strip building with a national quick-service restaurant, and the pad is expected to be completed this summer. Ottoveggio hopes to have that location completed and open by the end of 2025.

The Posh Bagel currently operates area sites in Roseville, Davis and Folsom. The chain moved its headquarters and wholesale bakery to 8806 Fruitridge Road in Sacramento in 2020, where it makes the dough and cream cheese that are sold at each of its locations as well as other wholesale products.

Ottoveggio said the chain moved its operations to Sacramento because it allowed them to operate in a building they could purchase and expand in. Its previous headquarters was in Santa Clara, but with rising rents and a space that was not for sale, the move made more sense, he said.

"We've found that this area is just as good for the business as the Bay Area, and a lot of people from there are moving to the region anyways," Ottoveggio said. "It was much harder to make ends meet there because of high labor costs and rents, and honestly we don't see as much of a difference in sales since the move."

The chain aims to continue expanding locally.

"Our goal is to have 10 stores in the Sacramento area in the next two years," Ottoveggio said. "We have proposals out for a lot of different areas but nothing has been signed yet. Our expansion slowed down during Covid but we are feeling back and more comfortable now and our stores are all doing good."

Other areas The Posh Bagel is eyeing for expansion include Elk Grove, Granite Bay, Fair Oaks and Natomas.

Ottoveggio and a former accountant for Posh Bagel pled guilty to insurance fraud in Santa Clara County Superior Court in 2011 after it was discovered the company was underreporting payroll to their insurance company and the state's Employment Development Department. The two were sentenced to six month in county jail, probation and court-ordered restitution, according to the California Department of Insurance.

Ottoveggio said the company did not lose any business from its wholesale and retail customers due to the relationships he had built with them prior to the situation.

"I stepped up and took responsibility, and paid off whatever was needed to be paid," Ottoveggio said. "I had to step up as owner because there is no where else to pass the buck. We made a bad hire and we didn't know it was happening it until we were hit with this."

A Sacramento city firefighter is in El Dorado County Jail after his arrest on suspicion of multiple charges of child sexual assault across numerous counties, and investigators say they are seeking out additional potential victims.

Adam Kent Blankenship is being held without bail on suspicion of rape at the Placerville facility, where he’s been held since his arrest Wednesday morning at 4500 24th St. — Sacramento Fire Department Station 12 — according to El Dorado County Jail records. Blankenship is on administrative leave while Fire Department officials cooperate with El Dorado authorities and conduct an internal investigation, a department spokesperson said Friday.

El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office said there could be yet more alleged victims involving the resident of Rescue.

“Based on the information and evidence obtained during this investigation, Detectives believe there may be additional victims who have yet to be identified,” the release read.

Sheriff’s officials in a news release said Blankenship had been the subject of a monthlong child sex assault investigation involving multiple allegations in several California counties.

Jail records show Blankenship being held on the single rape allegation, but the detectives’ work that led to Blankenship’s arrest produced a slate of further allegations, the Sheriff’s Office said: illegal recording without consent, digital penetration by force, digital penetration without the ability to consent, attempted rape, sexual battery, and continuous molestation of a child under 14 years.

Blankenship was on duty when he was arrested, the Fire Department confirmed, but said the alleged incidents happened while Blankenship was off the clock. Court documents show Blankenship has been employed by the city since 2006 following his honorable discharge from the Coast Guard.

“We are aware of the recent arrest of one of our firefighters, who was on duty on April 9th, 2025,” the Fire Department’s statement read. “While this incident took place during the firefighter’s scheduled work hours, it is important to note that the arrest is related to activities that occurred off duty and not in connection with their role as a member of our department.”

The statement later read that Sacramento Fire Department “take(s) all matters involving our personnel very seriously, regardless of whether they are on or off duty,” adding that it is “fully committed to upholding the highest standards of behavior both in and outside the workplace.”

SACRAMENTO, Calif. —

A Sacramento firefighter was arrested while on duty on Wednesday, the Sacramento Fire Department confirmed.

El Dorado County jail records show the firefighter, identified as Adam Blankenship, was arrested at Sacramento Fire Department Station 12.

The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office said the charges against Blankenship include illegal recording without consent, digital penetration by force, digital penetration without the ability to consent, attempted rape, sexual battery and continuous molestation of a child under 14 years.

Officials said the investigation of sexual assault allegations against Blankenship began in March, involving multiple counties.

Sacramento Fire did not comment on the allegations, but said the arrest was related to an off-duty matter.

"We are aware of the recent arrest of one of our firefighters, who was on duty on April 9," the fire department said in a statement. "It is important to note that the arrest is related to activities that occurred off duty and not in connection with their role as a member of our department. We take all matters involving our personnel very seriously, regardless of whether they are on or off duty, and we are fully committed to upholding the highest standards of behavior both in and outside the workplace."

Sacramento Fire said the firefighter was placed on leave as the department cooperates with the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office and conducts its own internal investigation.

Blankenship is being held in the El Dorado County jail without bail.

Detectives at the sheriff's office believe there may be additional victims. Anyone with information about the investigation is urged to contact Detective Macres at 530-957-5227 or macresc@eso.org.

The wait is finally over—Mikuni Japanese Restaurant and Sushi Bar is officially opening its doors to its much highly anticipated location in El Dorado Hills. The newest location for the local restaurant group opened its doors for a soft launch Monday and Tuesday and will officially open with full operations this Wednesday, bringing its signature Japanese cuisine to El Dorado Hills Town Center.

Located at 4361 Town Center Blvd, Suite 111, the new Mikuni marks a milestone not only for the restaurant group but also for the local community—this is the very first Mikuni location to open in El Dorado County.

With an enthusiastic “Let’s Go!” shared by Chief Dreaming Officer Taro Arai on social media, Mikuni made its quiet debut in a space formerly occupied by Aji Japanese Bistro. That restaurant, a local favorite for over a decade, closed last May due to rising operational costs.

Bringing Mikuni to El Dorado Hills has been a long-standing dream for Arai, who has spent more than 15 years working to make it happen. After years of negotiation and searching for the right location, a deal was finally struck in 2024 with El Dorado Hills Town Center.

“This endeavor represents a significant milestone for us as we continue our mission of delivering exceptional Japanese cuisine and unparalleled dining experiences to communities across Northern California,” said Arai.

The El Dorado Hills opening brings Mikuni’s total number of restaurants to 10 across the Sacramento region. For years, El Dorado Hills residents have driven to Folsom or Fair Oaks to enjoy Mikuni’s famous sushi rolls and Japanese dishes. Now, with a local location, those same diners have a much more convenient option.

“Folsom is so successful, and that restaurant was too small,” Arai shared in a previous Folsom Times interview when they announced the expansion to El Dorado Hills.. “That was a mistake I made when we opened in Folsom.”

Founded in 1987 in Fair Oaks, Mikuni has grown into one of Northern California’s most beloved restaurant brands. Arai, who affectionately refers to himself as Mikuni’s “Chief Dreaming Officer,” has long been a trailblazer in the local culinary scene. He’s also known for his community spirit and philanthropy—raising hundreds of thousands of dollars through creative campaigns like the “Rescue Roll” in times of disaster.

“This is such an exciting addition to our community,” said Debbie Manning, CEO and President of the El Dorado Hills Chamber of Commerce. “We are thrilled to welcome Mikuni into Town Center as a restaurant business partner. Their successful history of serving exceptional Japanese cuisine will benefit the community greatly.”

Earlier this year, Mikuni was acquired by Vanshow California, a subsidiary of Tokyo-based Pan Pacific International Holdings. Despite the acquisition, Mikuni emphasized that it will remain locally operated, with the Arai family continuing to lead day-to-day management.

“We want to emphasize that Mikuni’s heart and soul will remain true as we live by our mission to be the most loving and loved company in the world,” Arai said in a statement. The acquisition is expected to help fuel Mikuni’s longtime expansion goal of 50 locations by its 50th anniversary.

With the soft opening now underway, Mikuni El Dorado Hills is welcoming diners for an early look at its newest location. Full operations will continue to ramp up in the coming days, offering everything from the beloved Fair Oaks Roll to inventive creations inspired by Arai’s culinary imagination.
