Momentwm is a Newport Live project that inspires and supports sustainable behaviour change among individuals, schools, and businesses in Newport and beyond. One of its core missions is to empower local businesses to actively support employees who wish to commute to work by cycling, walking, or wheeling.

The initiative is already proving successful, with the latest highlight being a led ride from KLA’s current office to their new premises across Newport.

Newport County and Notts County played out a 1-1 draw to open their League Two accounts in a delayed match at Rodney Parade.

Kick-off was delayed until 16:00 BST as the stadium was evacuated following a medical emergency involving a supporter at the ground.

After a goalless first half the hosts took the lead on 49 minutes when Ged Garner headed the Exiles in front on his league debut for the club.

The lead lasted 15 minutes, as Notts County Jodi Jones equalised from the penalty spot after Matthew Dennis had been fouled in the area.

The hosts were almost back ahead moments later, but summer signing Michael Reindorf - on loan from Cardiff City - saw his effort hit the post after confusion in the Notts County box.

Newport County manager David Hughes told BBC Sport Wales:

"When you go 1-0 up at home you want to try and see the game out. What I've got to say is we've played against a very, very, very good Notts County team and you can see why they'll be the favourites to be one of the top two or three in the league.

"We've provided a platform in the first two games of what needs to underpin our performance moving forward. There's areas we need to evolve and continue to work on.

"But I think the lads should be immensely proud of themselves for the level of play at times. Some of our play was really, really good."

Notts County manager Martin Paterson told BBC Radio Nottingham:

"At half-time I'm in the dressing room and I'm disappointed with not being one or two to the good with some of the play and the clearcut chances we created.

"But football owes you absolutely nothing – you have to take those chances because what happens is you leave yourself open to certain styles to hurt you.

"Again set play goal that we conceded was very avoidable and the we have to have a reaction to go and get a goal back.

"I'm disappointed not to win the game but from a respectful point of view if teams play in a certain manner and are effective with it then there's nothing wrong with that and we can't complain.

"We just have to be better being us."
