Remote Surveillance Trailer in Wenatchee, WA

Businesses like yours that exist in today's commercial landscape have to navigate a litany of complex security challenges that go beyond their property and premises. We're talking about criminals intent on trespassing, theft, squatting, vandalism, and more. Unfortunately, conventional security efforts are often underwhelming and ineffective in managing modern risks. That's because traditional systems are reactive, not proactive, by nature. That means they're designed to respond to criminal acts after they've happened. Typical responses from these systems include sounding alarms and notifying the authorities - but only after trespassers are on-site. This type of response leads to unnecessary false alarms and frustratingly slow police response times, giving criminals the opportunity to escape with sensitive assets, data, and more.

Mr. Security Camera was founded to address these shortcomings by offering business owners like you proactive, comprehensive security solutions you can count on. With innovative tools like a remote surveillance trailer in Wenatchee, WA, you can get ahead of security breaches, deter potential criminals from committing crimes, and solidify the overall safety of your property without having to rely on outdated security models. By focusing on prevention and lightning-fast response times, we help make peace of mind plentiful for today's most successful property owners and managers.

So the clamor for a Chick-fil-A in Wenatchee has been heard--local media reports confirm City of Wenatchee officials received a request for a pre-permit application meeting from the popular restaurant chain considering a possible Wenatchee location at the corner of McKittrick and Wenatchee Avenue.

There are no significant developments since then.

But what would it take for a franchisee to own a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Wenatchee. NerdWallet, the financial advice website has compiled the basics of franchising a Chick-fil-A location.

First off, owning a Chick-fil-A feels more like operating or managing a Chick-fil-A restaurant versus owning one, according to many franchisees. Chick-fill-A calls it's franchisees "operators", not owners and less than 1% of franchise applicants are accepted.

Chick-fil-A decides where the restaurants will be located-- you can't even suggest you want one in Wenatchee. The company will own the real estate and property. Don't plan on your kids taking over the operation some day, you can't pass it down or sell a franchise. It must be returned to Chick-fil-A.

Chick-fil-A requires the restaurant must be your full time interest with no outside obligation and you can only operate one franchise. You're going to feel more like an employee/manager than a business owner.

Still interested?

The good news is once accepted, Chick-fil-A does not require any previous restaurant experience and the franchise fee is much lower than other competitors;

That fee covers the majority of startup costs, including real estate, construction, and equipment. But there are ongoing fees to lease equipment and the 15% cut of sales. Sounds a lot like you are leasing a business operation with no equity but the franchise can still be very lucrative while you operate it. In 2024, Chick-fil-A generated $22.7 billion in systemwide sales in the U.S..

It's not clear where the process to name the "operator" of the apparent Wenatchee location is so if you are game, go for it. Fans of Chick-fil-A have wanted a Wenatchee location for a long time.

NerdWallet says if Chick-fil-A is not the right fit, consider other franchise options.

Panera Bread

Panera has over 2,000 bakery-cafes across the United States and Canada.

Panera doesn’t offer single-unit franchises and franchisees are expected to open multiple locations within a certain timeframe. Panera franchisees need a net worth of at least $7.5 million plus access to $3 million in liquid assets, according to NerdWallet.

To open a McDonald’s franchise, you need to have at least $500,000 available in liquid capital. The McDonald's franchise fee runs you $45K and your initial investment can range between $1 million and $2.2 million.

Dunkin’s initial franchise fee ranges between $40K and $90K depending on location. The initial investment would be at least $96,000 and may reach $1.5 million.

The Wenatchee community is having a memorial service for Evelyn, Paityn, and Olivia—the three sisters murdered in a campground near Leavenworth—at Rocky Reach Park next Friday, June 20, at 7 p.m.

While attendees are encouraged to wear purple, pink, and green clothes in honor of the girls during the service, the event also stated that people can wear “whatever makes them feel beautiful.”

Participants should bring their own chairs, blankets, and candles or glow sticks. Water is also recommended.

Manhunt for Travis Decker continues

The memorial is scheduled to occur amid an ongoing manhunt for Travis Decker, the father of the three daughters and the man accused of kidnapping and killing them.

Helicopters have been seen circling the Wenatchee forest for days. KIRO Newsradio’s Luke Duecy did a deep dive into law enforcement’s search for Decker Thursday morning, which can be viewed above.

Law enforcement is hot on Decker’s trail, the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office confirmed in a press conference Wednesday.

“All we need is one mistake,” Chelan County Sheriff Mike Morrison said.

Deputies believe they have picked up footprints of Decker. They have also recovered more items they believe he left behind. Morrison is confident they have Decker surrounded.

Deputies said they are actively tracking Decker, believing he’s still in the mountains. Law enforcement officials stated they are following his trail, which has led to the Ingalls Creek Trailhead near Blewett Pass.

Seattle City Council President Sara Nelson appeared on The John Curley Show to share her personal journey with addiction and call for expanded drug treatment services across the city. She critiques existing harm-reduction methods and emphasizes a new “Pathways to Recovery” initiative, which would allocate up to 25% of new public safety sales tax revenue to residential and outpatient treatment programs. Listen to The John Curley Show every weekday at 3pm on KIRO Newsradio 97.3 FM. Listen to KIRO Newsradio 97.3 FM, or visit MyNorthwest.com to learn more!

“We are asking for the public, especially those who live or have cabins in the area, to remain highly vigilant and report any suspicious activity,” the sheriff’s office wrote.

Authorities received a tip from a hiking party who said they spotted a “lone hiker” in the Enchantments area. They said he appeared to be ill-prepared and was avoiding others. Tracking teams then found the hiker near Colchuck Lake, who ran from helicopters, according to law enforcement.

Multiple K9 teams followed his path into the woods, and now more than 100 officers are actively searching the area.

“If you have been in the Enchantments area within the last week and have seen anything suspicious, please contact the tip line with any information you may have,” the sheriff’s office stated. “Additionally, if you were a solo hiker in the area recently, please contact the tip line immediately with your information so investigators can follow up with you.”

Law enforcement has asked locals to stay vigilant.

“Please secure your homes and vehicles, stay alert, and report any suspicious activity to 911,” the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office stated. “Residents and visitors will see a visible increase in law enforcement presence tonight as a precaution. Your safety remains top priority. If you see something, say something.”

Dozens of deputies and federal agents are hyper-focused on areas along Highway 97, just 10 miles south of Leavenworth.

“This is the first time talking to all of my different law enforcement sources that they feel they have narrowed in,” KIRO 7 reporter Brooke Griffin said. “They said that they feel really good about this. We’re all a little anxious in these kinds of situations. These guys are highly trained, but if we’re feeling the anxiety, these guys probably are too.”

Investigators found Decker’s blood at the scene where the bodies of his three daughters were discovered. Law enforcement officials don’t know if Decker is armed.

“Heavy, heavy, heavy law enforcement presence,” Griffin added. “It could be setting up a perimeter. Out of the eight days I’ve been here, this is the most I’ve seen.”

Anyone who sees Decker should not approach him and should call 911 immediately.

32-year-old Travis Decker, the girls' father, is accused of kidnapping and murdering Paityn, Evelyn and Olivia earlier this month.
