Today the Kroenke Organization announced its plans for a 52-acre development in Warner Center in Woodland Hills, CA which will be known as Rams Village at Warner Center. This is part of the near 100-acres in Warner Center acquired by the Kroenke Organization in 2022 and will include the permanent headquarters and training facility for the Los Angeles Rams.

Beyond the Rams headquarters, this proposed mixed-use neighborhood designed by Gensler will feature residential, retail, office space, hotel, indoor entertainment venues, and abundant parks and open space. The 52 acres sit across all or portions of two blocks, which are surrounded by Erwin Street to the North, Canoga Avenue to the East, Oxnard Street to the South and Topanga Canyon Boulevard to the West. The new neighborhood will include links to surrounding areas through landscaping and design elements, including north to Topanga Village, a 600,000 square foot vibrant, open-air lifestyle destination that offers a sophisticated blend of retail, dining, and entertainment, which the Kroenke Organization also acquired in 2022. Topanga Village will continue to operate through the development of this new neighborhood.

The anchor of Rams Village at Warner Center will be the Rams permanent headquarters and training facility which will include more than 350,000 square feet of state-of-the-art facilities. The training facility will feature the two full-sized grass fields that are currently in place and the proposal calls for an additional 150,000 square foot indoor practice field that could seat up to 2,500 guests. The land currently houses the Los Angeles Rams temporary practice facility which opened in August 2024, and which will continue to be used through the construction of the permanent headquarters.

Adjacent to the Rams headquarters is proposed to be two indoor performance venues, one boasting 5,000 seats and one with 2,500 seats. These venues will serve as the ideal settings to bring a variety of new entertainment options to the heart of the San Fernando Valley, from concerts to awards shows.

More than three million square feet of the development will be dedicated to a variety of residential concepts including high-rise, mid-rise and live-work. The proposed development calls for nearly two million square feet of retail, office space, a hotel, and the indoor performance venues.

Upon completion, Rams Village at Warner Center will provide more than four acres of Publicly Accessible Open Space (PAOS) as required by the Warner Center 2035 Plan. In addition to the required PAOS, the neighborhood will include an additional 5.5 acres of public spaces for the community to enjoy.

In addition to the public space amenities throughout the project, the overall plan includes sustainable features such as solar power generation, stormwater retention and reuse and LEED^TM-certified equivalency across all sites.

Rams Village at Warner Center is located within the Warner Center 2035 Plan area, one of the most effective and innovative planning documents ever adopted in the City of Los Angeles and a product of extensive community collaboration. The proposed neighborhood is designed to conform with the provisions of the Warner Center 2035 Plan as well as local and state housing laws thus creating a vibrant, pedestrian oriented neighborhood within the Warner Center and Woodland Hills communities. Formal planning applications are expected to be submitted to the City of Los Angeles in the next several months.

Global Architecture firm Gensler spearheaded the plan's overall design, including the new training facility for the Los Angeles Rams. Since the Rams returned home to Los Angeles in 2016, players, coaches and front office staff have provided more than 5,000 hours of community service in the Woodland Hills and West Valley community alone. The team has visited more than 40 schools in the region, engaging nearly 13,000 students through youth football, as well as hosted more than 30 Rams Readers and Read Across America assemblies at local schools. Rams Village at Warner Center is the latest sports and entertainment destination being developed by the Kroenke Organization along with Hollywood Park in Inglewood, CA, Ball Arena Redevelopment in Denver, CO, and Midway Rising in San Diego, CA.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Woodland Christian, a school 225 students in Yolo County, won the first of 12 California (CIF) championship games Friday morning at Golden 1 Center, home of the NBA's Sacramento Kings.

Teagan Hayes, a Division 1 softball recruit, had 18 points, eight rebounds and six steals and feisty 5-foot-2 point guard Keziah Maldonado-Lemus added 12 points, five steals and five rebounds as the the Cardinals (31-6) won their first state title in their first state-finals appearance with a 47-41 Division 5 championship over Rosamond.

A pair of three-pointers by Elena Ganyo gave the Sac-Joaquin Section representative its biggest lead 37-27 lead late in the third in the fourth quarter before Rosamond made a run led by Ariel Cain (14 points, nine rebounds).

The Roadrunners (29-8) closed to 44-41 with 1:28 left, but Ganyo hit one free throw and Hayes, a Division 1 softball prospect, swished two down the stretch.

The Cardinals, who had never even qualified for the Northern California regional before this season, won the game on the boards, with a 50-28 rebounding edge led by Siena Sorbello (17 rebounds) and Bailee Broward (12 rebounds).

Coach Shiloh Sobello, father of Siena, said his team always plays with a chip on their shoulder because, especially in the playoffs, plays team with much larger enrollments.

"We're the little engine that could," coach Sobello said.

That chip and mighty motor showed on the boards and general hustle plays. He also played up the team's recent Sac-Joaquin Section finals loss 45-42 to Bret Harte of Angels Camp that helped with Friday's stellar performance.

"We didn't play our best in the section championship, the lights were a little too bright for us and our eyes a little too wide," said coach Sorbello, a district attorney in Yuba County sporting a nifty 'lucky' suit and bright red bow tie. "“We were on a 23-game heater (a winning streak), and we hadn’t lost in so long. Once we lost, the girls buckled down. It’s quite a feat for our girls. They really came together.”

This is the 20th year of Woodland Christian, which has emerged to a small school football program, winning a state title in 2023. Perhaps now the girls basketball program is taking the same path.

Coach Sorbello, who never envisioned coaching girls basketball, is now hooked.

“We have 225 kids in our high school,” coach Sorbello said. “Some years, we have a JV team, some years we don’t. Every team we play in the playoffs is bigger in enrollment. We go in with a chip on our shoulder. We’re small, but mighty, and let’s get after it.”
